ONE IS ONLY POOR IF HE THINKS HE IS

What a controversial topic!!
I know by now you probably be thinking that the author of this article is insane. But I put it to you, you are where you are today because you have chosen to be there either consciously or unconsciously through the thoughts you have allowed to dominate your mind.

And I will prove that to you before the end of this article.

The Theory of the Mind

Proverbs 23:7. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Proverbs 4:23. Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thought.

To start with, our mind is the store house of creation. It is where everything created came from.

By developing an awareness of the functions of the human mind, and establishing a solid belief of your ability to utilize them, it is possible to consciously and purposefully utilize human mind power to dramatically enhance any area of your life, whether financially, physically, emotionally or otherwise.

The human mind has power beyond human imagination and if you learn how to harness that power, you can achieve great things and even be your own miracle worker.

The fundamental aspect of creating our lives the way we want is to direct our thoughts and feelings towards that which we want our lives to shape and blossom into. The essential part here is to use the power of the mind to make it happen. Manifesting and creating what we want in our lives is fundamentally and essentially dependent on how our mind and emotions are focused. This power of the mind needs to be developed so that everything in you is naturally driven towards it because the way you think is the way you feel, the way you feel is the way you act, and the way you act is the direction your life will naturally go. So the power of the mind which is the basis of almost everything that human beings have created on this planet has to be harnessed.
Almost everything that is humanly made on this planet was first created in human mind. So how we organize and focus our minds within ourselves will be the basis of how and what direction our life flows. If one looks at this carefully, for most human beings 90 per cent of their thought process happens haphazardly, without any particular purpose or focus. When the mind is happening in such a haphazard and unfocused way, naturally life will also happen in the same way, because what you see as life, what you see as the world around you is just a magnified impact of human mind. The human societies are just magnified manifestation of what’s happening in the human mind. We talk about big issues like peaceful world, beautiful world and acquiring wealth when there is no peaceful, beautiful and rich mind to create them. Unless we make this happen within ourselves, manifesting this on the outside will not happen. Using the power of the mind or manifesting the power of the mind is traditionally called chit shakthi by the Orientals. Today, modern science is proving that the whole existence is just a reverberation of energy. What you call a thought is also a reverberation. If you create or generate a powerful thought and let it out, it always comes true. The problem right now is there are so many contradictory thoughts which are killing each other or fighting with each other within one’s own mind that manifesting what you want seem to be so difficult

There is a beautiful story in the yogic lore. A man went for a walk and accidentally walked into paradise. After the long walk he felt a little tired and thought, I wish I could rest somewhere. He saw a beautiful tree beneath which was wonderful, soft grass. So he went and slept on the grass. After a few hours, he woke up well-rested. Then he thought, Oh! I am hungry. I wish I had something to eat. He thought of all the nice things he wanted to eat and all of them just appeared in front of him. After he had the sumptuous food, the man thought, Oh! I wish I had something to drink. He thought of all the drinks he wanted and all of them appeared in front of him.

In yoga, the human mind is referred to as markata, or monkey, because of its nature. The word monkey has also become synonymous with imitation. If you say you are monkeying someone, it means you are imitating someone  this is the full-time job of your mind. So, an un-established mind is referred to as a monkey.

When this monkey became active in the man who went to paradise, he thought, What the hell is happening here? I asked for food, food came. I asked for drink, drink came. Maybe there are ghosts around. He looked and there were ghosts. The moment he saw them he got terrified and said, Oh there are ghosts around here, maybe they will torture me. And the ghosts started torturing him, and he started screaming and yelling in pain. He said, Oh these ghosts are torturing me, they are going to kill me. And he died.

The problem was, he was sitting under a wishing tree or a Kalpavriksha. Whatever he asked for became a reality. A well-established human mind is referred to as a Kalpavriksha. In this mind, whatever you ask for becomes a reality. In life, you are also constantly sitting under a Kalpavriksha, so you need to develop the mind to a point where it becomes a Kalpavriksha, not a source of madness.

You see the story above illustrates the life most of us live. Majority of humans on earth live accidental life, whereby the cause things to happen to them without actually knowing that they are the one engineering the outcome of their lives, whether negative or positive.

Nothing in life happens by chance, the due process of creation which starts from the mind must be observed before anything can take a physical form.

The man in the above story, was having a good life which was a product of his thought, but because he was unaware of the power of his mind and because he does not believe that he is the architect behind his life. He started doubting the possibility of his present condition and once doubt sets in, his mind starts emitting negative thoughts and vibration and this takes holds of his reality.

Just as in the bible (Mathew 14:29-30), as peter was walking on the water because he thought he can and believed in it, but immediately his thinking changes to the negative, his reality changes also to the negative and he started sinking.

One might be wondering: if we do get what we focus on, why do we get so much of what we don’t want? That’s because we often focus most passionately on what we don’t want, and Mother Nature always grants our greatest passions either negative or positive in nature. That’s to say if you wish to be wealthy but you preoccupies your mind with pictures of poverty and how much you detest it, you still get to be poor. Because your mind is still emitting vibrations of poverty although you desire wealth and because Mother Nature is not learned enough to understand the sentence you are trying to make, she still goes further to provide you with enough poverty that can serve you. Mother Nature only understands the words in your thought and not the logical sentence.

So you have to be clear, precise and consistent with your thought if you want Mother Nature to work on it. If you want wealth, fix your mind with images of wealth and expel from your mind all poverty related thoughts whether negative or positive, as long as it has poverty in it. Mother Nature understands only the core terms in our stream of thoughts.

So you see, nothing about life is accidental, you might not be aware of it, but you definitely have your signature on all that happens in your life. Even those things that are outside your jurisdiction, like natural disasters, cannot affect you without your approval. They might happen without your consent but they cannot affect you without your consent.

Life is a result of the series of choices we make in our everyday life; the choice to believe in oneself and the choice not to, the choice to think richly or poorly, the choice to see life from the positive angle and the choice to dwell on the negative aspects of life, the choice to choose what affects you and be in charge of your life and the choice to leave everything to luck and take whatever that comes your way. The choice is always yours to make, if you think life is beautiful and nice or full of evil and wickedness, either way you are right because life is of both. But one thing is certain, the way you picture life in your mind will determine your experience with life.

I will leave you with this last stanza of Coat of many Colors by Dolly Parton

But they didn’t understand it

And I tried to make them see

That one is only poor

Only if they choose to be

Now I know we had no money

But I was rich as I could be

In my coat of many colors

My momma made for me

Made just for me.

Life is truly beautiful and you have no reason to be poor unless you chose to be.

“WE ARE WHAT WE THINK, ALL THAT WE ARE ARISES WITH OUR THOUGHTS, AND WITH OUR THOUGHTS WE MAKE THE WORLD “.

THE HIDDEN SECRET REVEALED

                                      AS A MAN THINKET….

Thought and Character; the molder and maker of man and his environs.
The discovery of the fact that “as a man thinket in his heart, so is he” not only embraces the whole of a man’s being but it is so comprehensive to reach out to every condition and circumstance of his life. A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.

As the plant springs forth and cannot be without the seed, so every aspect of a man spring from the hidden seeds of thought and could not have appeared without them. This applies also to those acts called spontaneous and unpremeditated acts (acts that are deliberately executed). Act is the blossom of thoughts, and joy and suffering are his fruits. Thus a man must gain from the sweet or bitter fruitage of his own husbandry called thought.

Thought in the mind has made us. If a man’s heart has evil thought pains come to him and also if one enjoins a purity of thoughts, joy follows him as his own shadow should.

Cause and effect is as absolute and un-deviated as in the hidden realm of thought as in the world of visible and material things.

A noble or God-like character is not a thing of favor or chance but it is the natural result of a continuous effort in the right thinking, the effect of long cherished association with God-like thoughts.

Man is made and unmade by himself. In the armoring of his thoughts man either forges the weapon with which he destroys himself or fashions the tools with which he build for himself heavenly mansions of joy and strength and peace. By the right choice and true application of thoughts man ascends to the divine perfection also by the abuse and wrong application of thoughts he descends below the level of a beast. Between these two extremes, are all greats of character and man is their maker and master.

Of all the beautiful truths pertaining to the soul which has been restored and brought to light in this age, non is gladdening or more fruitful of divine promise and providence than this “that man is the master of thought, the molder of character and the maker and shaper of condition, environment and destiny”. Man is also a being of power, intelligence and love, and as the lord of his own thought man holds the key to every situation and contains within himself that transforming and regenerative power with which he can make himself what he wills.

Man is always a master, even in his weaker and most abandoned state. But in his weakness and degradation he is but a foolish master, who misgoverns his household. When he begins to reflect upon his condition and to search diligently for the law upon which his being is established, he then becomes a wise master, directing his energies with intelligence and fashioning his thoughts to fruitful issues, such is the conscious master. A man can only thus become, by discovering within himself the laws of thought, which discovery is totally a matter of application, self analysis and experience. Only by much searching and mining are gold and diamonds obtained and man can find every truth connected with his being if he will dig deep into the mind of his soul and believe that he is the maker of his character, the molder of life and the builder of his destiny.

A man’s mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild, but whether cultivated or neglected it must bring forth plants which can be desiring or undeserving. If good seeds are cultivated in it, it will definitely produce its kinds but it is allowed to run wild, it will bring forth a thousand fold of destructive and useless plants and fruits.

Just like a gardener weeds and takes care of his garden, so shall a man weed and rid off his heart, all impure and evil thoughts and then cultivate towards perfection the flowers and fruits of right, useful and pure thoughts.

Thought and character are one. And as character can only manifest and discover itself through environment and circumstance, the outer conditions of a man’s life will always be found to be harmonious with his inner state of man.

Every man is where he is, by the law of his being; the thoughts which he has built into his character have brought him to his present state. And in the arrangement of his life, there is no element of chance. But all is a result of a law which cannot err (as a man thinket in his heart so he is).

As a progressive and evolving being, a man is where he is so that he can learn and grow. And as he learns the spiritual and intellectual lessons which any circumstance contains for him, it passes away and gives place to other circumstances. Man is perfected by circumstances so long as he believes that he is in charge of his outside conditions through the control of his internal disposition.

When man realizes that he is a creative power and that he may command the hidden soils and seeds of his being out of which his circumstances grow, he then become a wise master, a rightful master of himself.

The soul attracts that which it secretly harbours, that which it loves and that which it fears. And thought determines that which the soul harbours; love or fears. Every thought seed sown or allowed to be planted in the mind produces its own kind and blossoms sooner or later into act, and bearing its own fruitage of opportunity and circumstance. Good thought bear good fruit while bad thoughts bear bad fruit.

The outer world of circumstances shapes itself to the inner world of thoughts. Thus one becomes that which he habours in his mind. Thought makes and unmakes a man.

So, if you are sick and tired of your old and unproductive life, and you want a change, all you have got to do is to change your old way of thinking, embrace a positive way of thinking and your outer life and circumstances will conform to that.

INTELLECTUAL CRIME!!!

Schooling Has Taken The Place of Education.
A Call for Justice.

Eleanor Roosevelt argues that education depends on us, not the schools.

Schooling has greatly been confused with education in our society today. That is why there is too much of emphasis in our society on the attendance of the formal school program and the resultant certificates that follows.

If only we could understand the original meaning of education and what it stands for, one could easily see that the current school system does not in any way promote that. Although it claims it does, but on the actual part she does not. And the question still remain unanswered; Does she(the formal school system) know that she does not promote that which she claims to stand for or she knows but has decided to do nothing about?

Etymologically, the word “education” is derived from the Latin word ēducātiō (“A breeding, a bringing up, a rearing”) and also from ēducō (“I educate, I train”) which is related to the homonym ēdūcō (“I lead forth, I take out; I raise up, I erect”) from ē- (“from, out of”) and dūcō (“I lead, I conduct”).

Two things are prevalent in the above etymological definition of education and they are “I” and “within”. That is to say that the original idea of education stands for an individual exercise which involves bringing up from within or making known an already stored up potential. In essence education is an individual activity that takes place within the individual. Emphasis is on the individual and by the individual.

On the other hand a school is an institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for the teaching of students (or “pupils”) under the direction of teachers. While schooling are the activities that goes on in schools. That is, the learning that takes place in a school environment. Also, Websters dictionary defines schooling as the process of being taught, such as in a school.

It is sad to note that the modern day school system does not promote the original core campaign of education which is on self education. The syllabus used in our school today is more a matter of political compromise than a well-considered way to give the learner a balance in life. Courses are dished out based on the societal wants and prospects without any keen interest on the individual need or preference. Although it might seem that the pupils has a choice to a course of study, but it is a mere illusion of freedom of choice. Because they are not allowed to develop any course of study of their own they are only allowed to choose from already developed courses of study which were formulated under the whims and caprices of the system. It is like giving a child the choice of choosing between two sets of clothes brought by you. He might get to choose one but none of those two choices are original to him. And he might not even notice it.

Learning in the school system is like passing down a set of old traditional rites to a younger generation without a any keen interest to ascertain if there is a need for it in the life of the new generation or if there is any modification to be made or if the generation in question has a better preferred way of doing the traditional rites to fit in to their current state. They are just meant to take whatever the teacher or the school curriculum passes across to them without any form of questioning thereby undermining their thinking ability. A refined way of saying to the students “you have the right to accept what is given to you and remain silent because any form of objection is automatically overruled”. The whole point of education is to develop and nurture curiosity among individuals which helps them learn how to learn. And the school system is not in support of this campaign.

The main purpose of education is to vacate the brain and open the brain says a Veteran man but the contemporary schooling does none of the those, instead she fills the brain with junks and unrealistic dogmas and theories. Yet, she calls herself “an educational institution” what a pity!!!

According to Oscar Wilde, education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth learning can be taught. Here Oscar is saying that for one to acquire the major elements he needs to succeed in life he must take the pains of learning it individually, thus he is talking about self education.

Against the parallel passage of non-functional information and knowledge to pupils which is practiced in the school system, I propose a self centered education, education by the individual and within the individual. According to Bateson, through self education one does not just learn, but learns to learn, and learns to learn to learn, and learns to learn to learn to learn etc. Education is self-education and self-education is taking the homeward path to wisdom, insight and realization.

Am not saying that schooling or the school system is entirely worthless, I acknowledge that she might be doing her best and might mean well for her candidates or customer as the case maybe, but her best is not functional in relation to the everyday life of those that were once or still under her roof. To prove her worth once again, she has to make some serious changes in her system. Learning should be students centered and the students should be allowed to design and choose their own curriculum and course of study. I think the right thing schooling should do to her candidates or pupils as the case may be, is to awaken their senses towards acquiring functional knowledge in solving their everyday needs and that of others and not to teach them. The system should inculcate in the pupils, the act of self education. And then allow these pupils to self educate themselves, acting only as guidance only when called upon by the pupils. The pupils should be allowed to make mistakes and learn from their mistakes. It is possible for one to self educate himself while still under the roof of the formal school system.

So I call on our parents, communities, leaders and society to encourage the pursuit of education through the means of self education against the old unproductive way of hyping the formal school system as the panacea to individual happiness. Let us put self education back in her place in our individual lives and the progress of our communities and the society at large will be assured. Because a productive citizen is one who knows how to draw from within, his God given talents and potentials in solving his everyday life problem and that of others. And this he can do through self education and getting to understand his individual being and not through rote learning.

Finally I say to you, get formal education if you can, but with or without it, you must never forget to self educate yourself, so as to draw out from within you, every God given potential in you. Life only becomes meaningful and valued only at the point of self actualization and self actualization only comes from self education, formal schooling alone cannot give you that. The path of self education is the path to self actualization. And the task of self educating yourself is a continuous one; it does not end till death do you apart.

THIS I MUST TELL YOU, THE TRUTH ABOUT YOU.

You are a thoroughly good person. You deserve a wonderful life, full of success, happiness, joy, and excitement.

You are entitled to have happy relationships, excellent health, meaningful work, and financial independence. These are your birthright.

This is what your life is meant to include.

You are engineered for success and designed to have high levels of self-esteem, self-respect, and personal pride.

You are extraordinary; there has never been anyone exactly like you in all the history of mankind on earth.

You have absolutely amazing untapped talents and abilities that, when properly unleashed and applied, can bring you everything you could ever want in life.

You are living at the greatest time in all of human history.

You are surrounded by abundant opportunities that you can take advantage of to realize your dreams.

The only real limits on what you can be, do, or have are the limits you place on yourself by your own thinking.Your future is virtually unlimited.

(An excerpt from Brian Tracy’s book, Change your thinking and change your life)

Those are the truths about yourself, they are who you are. But they can only manifest in your life only and when you start believing in your true self and own up to the responsibility of managing your life and steering it to the direction you want it to go.

Life is truly good and unlimited, but it ain’t gonna be easy. Because what you stand to gain with your success ain’t gonna be common. So brace up.

Become an unlimited being you were made to be, anything less than that is a disgrace your being.

COMPETE TO GROW AND NOT TO WIN.

It is far more better and healthier to compete with yourself than to compete with others.

Strive to become a better person than you were some hours ago, a day or days ago, some weeks ago, some months ago and some years ago. Strive to become better with each passing minute of the day and let the yardstick of measurement be your former self.
When you compete against others, it always ends up in more mistrust, hatred and dislikes either when you lose or win.

But when you compete with or against your former self, you grow and becomes better, achieving more and aiming higher. In this latter type of competition no enemy is created no foes are developed and no feeling of mistrust is developed. Instead you are loved more and your values increaseth more and more.

I propose that this is the highest and the best form of competition one can engage in. Compete against your former self and you will grow more stronger and command more love and followers from the outside world.

But compete against another, and you will slowly lose your trust and love among people and even when you emerge victorious, you are not loved and you will experience a tremendous feeling of loneliness. Because humans naturally don’t like being with someone who makes them feel like a failure/inferior or someone who constantly beats them at competition even when you mean no harm to them, the feeling is always there.

When you compete against your former self you win in all ramifications, but when you compete against others you only experience one sided and lonely victory even when you emerge victorious. And when it happens that you are at the losing end, the feeling is worst.

Competition against others might spur growth but in the long run, it will make you more misery and lonely.

IN DEFEATS AND ADVERSITIES LIES THE TRUE HONORS THAT MAKES A MAN.

WHEN NATURE WANTS A MAN

By Angela Morgan

When Nature wants to drill a man,

And thrill a man,

And skill a man.

When Nature wants to mould a man

To play the noblest part;

When she yearns with all her heart

To create so great and bold a man

That all the world shall praise –

Watch her method, watch her ways!

How she ruthlessly perfects

Whom she royally elects;

How she hammers him and hurts him,

And with mighty blows converts him

Into trial shapes of clay which only Nature understands

While his tortured heart is crying and he lifts beseeching hands!

How she bends, but never breaks,

When his good she undertakes. . . .

How she uses whom she chooses

And with every purpose fuses him,

By every art induces him

To try his splendour out –

Nature knows what she’s about.

When Nature wants to take a man,

And shake a man,

And wake a man;

When Nature wants to make a man

To do the Future’s will;

When she tries with all her skill

And she yearns with all her soul

To create him large and whole . . .

With what cunning she prepares him!

How she goads and never spares him,

How she whets him, and she frets him,

And in poverty begets him . . .

How she often disappoints

Whom she sacredly anoints,

With what wisdom she will hide him,

Never minding what betide him

Though his genius sob with slighting and his pride may not forget!

Bids him struggle harder yet.

Makes him lonely

So that only

God’s high messages shall reach him,

So that she may surely teach him

What the Hierarchy planned.

Though he may not understand,

Gives him passions to command.

How remorselessly she spurs him

With terrific ardour stirs him

When she poignantly prefers him

When Nature wants to name a man

And fame a man

And tame a man;

When Nature wants to shame a man

To do his heavenly best . . .

When she tries the highest test
That she reckoning may bring

When she wants a god or king!

How she reins him and restrains him

So his body scarce contains him

While she fires him

And inspires him!

Keeps him yearning, ever burning for a tantalizing goal –

Lures and lacerates his soul.

Sets a challenge for his spirit,

Draws it higher when he’s near it

Makes a jungle, that he clear it;

Makes a desert that he fear it

And subdue it if he can –

So doth Nature make a man.

Then, to test his spirit’s wrath

Hurls a mountain in his path

Puts a bitter choice before him

And relentlessly stands o’er him.

“Climb, or perish I” so she says. . . .

Watch her purpose, watch her ways!

Nature’s plan is wondrous kind

Could we understand her mind . . .

Fools are they who call her blind.

When his feet are torn and bleeding

Yet his spirit mounts unheeding,

All his higher powers speeding,

Blazing newer paths and fine;

When the force that is Divine

Leaps to challenge every failure and his ardour still is sweet

And love and hope are burning in the presence of defeat . . .

Lo, the crisis! Lo, the shout

That must call the leader out.

When the people need salvation

Doth he come to lead the nation. . . .

Then doth Nature show her plan

When the world has found – a MAN!

TITHING AND GIVING WITH THE RIGHT MINDSET AND FOR THE RIGHT REASON

Malachi 3:10. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Take note of this phrase “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house'(God’s house and not Pastor’s house). And remember God’s house is a common house for all His children, both pastors and members.
The early Christians lived a communal life and the church houses this community. The early Christians shared everything they had evenly and no body was left out. There is no rich man and there is no poor man. Happiness among brethren was a communal property and so also is sorrow.
Also the Temple or house of God as is called is a place where everybody is even. The needy feel at ease to come seeking for help from it. And they are always assisted. So to say the house of God which in the modern tongue is called churches, is a place people come not only to pray but also to assist others and be assisted when the need arises. And the commonest of these assistance is in the form of material things and food stuffs.
So, the house of God is a storehouse of food and material things for those in need of it. It is not just a place to pray, but also a place of happiness and communal living where who has gives and who has not gets.
If that’s the case, I think that was the sole reason why God commanded us to bring our tithes and offerings to his store house so that it may never lack and that those that come to it seeking for help will never go empty handed. Because He is a God of abundance and His house should not lack that with which to attend to His visitors. God can perfectly fill his house with riches even without our assistance but won’t it be wise for us to do the work of filling His house for Him. So that He will continue to fill our purses while we continue to fill His house.
Remember the reason why God asked us to fill His house with riches is because he wants all those in need to be taken care of, but if you think that those incharge of this Houses are not faithful to that course, you can go on your own way and help the needy. The idea is to erase poverty and hopeless among God’s people and either you do it through the church or as an individual, but as long as you are true to the course, you are blessed.
The storehouse of God is not only for pastors, priests or clergy men, it is a common purse of God to His people, everybody in need should be able to access it.
You should give to your pastors and clergy men to encourage them and appreciate God for the gift of them to humanity, but “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former”(Mathew 23:23).

The wellbeing of your neighbors and so called enemy is your responsibilities, don’t just give to your pastors and clergy men and neglect your duty in making this world a better place void of malnutrition and hunger.

My conclusion is DON’T NEGLECT YOUR PASTOR AND DON’T NEGLECT YOUR NEIGHBORS NOT EVEN YOUR ENEMIES NOR STRANGERS IN NEED.

GIVE TO YOUR PASTOR AND PRIESTS BUT GIVE MORE TO THAT STRANGE MAN OR WOMAN THAT HAS NOTHING TO EAT, DRINK OR WHERE TO SLEEP.

LET YOUR ‘WHY’ LEAD YOU.

Don’t just sale a product, sale passion and purpose.

What you do should reflect who you are or aspire to be.

Don’t speak for your product, instead let what you do or produce speak for you and that which you believe in.

Give way and let your WHY take the lead and your shall never compete with anybody because your WHY is unique to you and it naturally has a copyright law that protects it from the public eye.

A VIRTUOUS WOMAN IS A PRICELESS GIFT TO MANKIND.

THE MOST REVERED GIFT A MAN CAN HAVE IS THE GIFT OF A VIRTUOUS WOMAN.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
